This was taken on a little boat cruise out to the center of the volcano.

Beautiful pictures Indiawala. The second picture is spectacular. Is it a sunset or sunrise?

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your comment Macnite...this is a sunset. I was staying on the cliff side of the island...which faces west...as such its a great place for atmospheric sunsets (unfortunately when i was there..there weren't too many clouds in the sky)

Very nice! Really like the detail in the first one, and the color in the others. Jim

WOW! Very nice photos. I am amazed at the clarity of the first one. Beautiful job.

Did you take these with a Panasonic? Did you need a special telephoto lens for the city shot?

Thank you for sharing your photos with us.They are allawsome.

Thanks for all your comments...

to the question of what camera it is that I use, its the good old FZ20. The first shot had a polarizer attached to it, but thats about it.

Its a panorama stitched together using panasonic's software that comes with the FZ's. Here is another shot (a panorama) taken of the city Athen's from atop the Acropolis.

hope you like it
