Hi! Here's my contribution to the many niceinsectcloseups that's been shown here. Both these flower flieswere shot with the FZ30 and a Soligor achromatic closeup lens, +3 diopters.

Welcome back PeHa. Hope you had a nice vacation.

The sharpness and colour are incredible! I have not seen pictures with such clarity!

Did you process the pictures with any software?

Emmanuel, about postprocessing;I used NeatImage on both these images to remove some noise. Not really necessaryon #2 but thegreen areas in #1seems to be more sensitive. Then Icropped them slightly,fine tunedbrightness/contrast andthen finally, one 'sharpen'. No colour adjustments etc.

Nice shots indeed! You said it's a flower fly. I've never seen one. Looks like your flys and bees fell in love. Enjoyed the post.
