I know, I know, but I can't help myself! I've been trying to match some of the moon shots I've see on here for years. Here I go again. I set everything on high and let'er rip. I've never been able to get the detail that others have and thought I'd just try it. What do you think? Cropped & resized, sharpened just a tad, then a littleof NR. If I sound a little crazy, it's 4:01am and I'm tired. Hope you enjoy.

Very nice, Don. The moon was full last nite, but I was too tired to set up. Spent the whole day working on a portion of my barn and shop.

Looks like you have gotten there with this one.

Very well done. It looks like you've gotten the hang of it.

Wonderful...looks like you nailed the moon shot. Donna

Thanks bayourebel, Ladyhawk and Donna. I've had more trouble getting a really good shot of it. Now I just need to keep improving. This forum gives me goals to shoot for.

Hi d-sr. One of the best moon shotsI've seen in a while. Do you mind posting the camera settings? I have a miserable time getting a dissent moon shot.

Don, that is as good a moon shot as I have seen on this forum.....I am now going to tear mine up and try again...

Thanks Macnite. Like I said, Ive been fighting this since I got my FZ1 when they first came out. I've changed tripods, bought a new head, bought FZ20 so I could have the Remote, when I had a FZ15. I just did not realize how hard it is to get a good shot of the moon. Now I'll just keep experimenting and trying to get it better. I've seen some moon shotsthat I consider better, they are my goal. I gave the RSR X stuff in the post.

Exposure 1/400

Fumber F5.6

Manual mode

Auto focus

ISO80

centerweight metering

Auto W/B

Thanks a lot Fred. I've torn up a bunch of them in the past three or four years myself.
