I'm visiting Orlando in Florida in a few weeks on my annual holiday and intend to buy an FX01 while I'm there...can anyone tell me of any likely camera shops that stock it please.

I don't drive while I'm there preferring to use the I-Ride trolleys and Lynx bus network to get around and have previously visited some of the shopping malls including the Florida mall, the Millenia mall and Festival Bay mall...so can anyone suggest stockists in any of these or any other malls where I maybuy it please?

John.

Hi

I've been going to Florida 2 or 3 times a year for the past 5 years and have still not found a shop on I-Drive that I would use There are 3 Ritz Camera outlets in the Orlando area, nearest to I-Drive would be the oneabout 5 miles East onSand Lake Road,

Ritz Camera
1233 Sand Lake Rd,
(407) 240-6998
Given the current security situation I would be very wary about buying expensive equipment abroad as the restrictions on hand luggage mean it would have to be packed with your hold luggage, not the safest of places by a long way. The other alternative would be to Fed-Ex orUPS it back to the UK.

Given that there's virtuallyno difference in prices between the US and the UK nowadays why buy in Florida, it's around $300 with sales tax= approx: £165 or £179 from Bestbuydigitalfrom most online retailers here in the UK, personally I'd drop the extra megapixel and go for an LZ3 with the 6x optical zoom instead at about £129

Best Buy stores carry the fx01. There are a few of them in the Orlando area. Go to their web site and check out the store locator to see what's in stock.

Thanks for that info.

The cheapest online retailers I can find have it for around £189 + p&p.

The reason I want that particular model is its size and 28mm lens.

I take your point about packing it in the suitcase due to last weeks event.
