For a newbie, like myself, I can only echo, echo, what has already been stated. I would love to see what you would have done inmy beehives, about 20 years ago. I bet you would have captured photos of the mite that killed off many hives then, before we even knew we had a problem.

Great photos.
Thanks.

You mean mites can wipe out a beehive? Thats interesting to hear.

Those are some really great photos and some very interesting ants! They almost look like someone created them out of copper or brass.

I have to agree with Narmer. If I take a picture of an ant, I get a picture of an ant. You take a picture of an ant and you create art.

I guess that's the difference between being a guy with a camera, and being a photographer.

Good show!

They are quite reddish actually, and gives a nasty bite.

thanks for the kind comments!

I, like others, cannot think of an appropriate word (that has not been said before) to describe your pictures. You should copyright and prepare an album (suggested topics: MacroLab or WonderWorld) and market it. May I take credit for first associating you with NG?

Thanks Raghu! I have done a coffee table book for personal use, but I think its too $ to market it. You can see it here:

I had to stop for a few minutes to collect my thoughts and pick-up my jaw from my lap so that I can respond to your posting. As Narmer said I'm astonished with the pictures and the miracle of nature that you so expertly captured andpresented.
