Woodpecker & Me Waiting for the train

Hiked down by the river to try and get a photo of the Steam Train and the trestle over the river. While waiting on the train I had a visitor. I didn't know until today that woodpeckers liked coal fired steam trains.

Waiting, no train yet.

Say Hi to Woooody.

Woooody moves to the edge of the tree top so he can see the train better.

Now we both are happy here is the train.

Hi Jerry
he was one tree over from me. I would guess 30 to 40 feet.

Thanks for the nice words Fred.
Our old steam train is a lot of fun to photograph it looks different about every day because of the amount of smoke and the different light because of the clouds.

I have often heard people sayingthat there are three things that nevercease to amaze - the steam engine, the elephant and the ocean. Looks like it holds true all over the world! Very nice pic of the train and that of the bird too.
