I am getting back to taking some snaps...
I was passing through London's Hyde Park corner so decided to take some close-ups of statues. Ideal subjects to practise on as they don't move !

I am still clutching my now elderly FZ5 and do feel a bit frustrated at times with its limitations but keep waiting for the FZ which will be my ideal! Maybe next year?

Nice pics - I love the black and white. The first one creeps me out a bit, though - the boy looks real.

Thanks very much for your nice opinions bootneck and ride!

The chariot statue is on top of the Wellington Arch in Hyde Park corner and must say this was the first time I have really looked at it in all my years of living here...having a camera with you changes the way you see things sometimes.
Apparently it is the largest bronze sculpture in Europe!
It depicts the angel of peace descending down on a chariot of war...

The boy is freaky. He has an odd face. And the little animal face at the handle he is holding is weird also!
I love the horses though!

Thanks again.

to add...
This is the Wellington Arch atop which is the large statue (a rain drop on lense spoiled the photo!):
