thanks again!

the "nice trick" was used by lovelife some time ago.
I wanted to check if anybody clicks on the pictures.
The higher resolutions are my better than my posted thumbs.

thanks Tan,

the eyes are a good test that there is at least some sharpness in these pictures.
The spider shot was taken with a "disposable" camera - Sanyo xacti E6EX.
Without any additional lenses at a distance around 3 cm. This is the macro mode for ants: 1cm.

There was not enough space between the background and the spider for the FZ5.
A slimm camera helps in this case....

But even this camera can do better with NI (the other one was without NR):

There will be some "low budged" macros with this camera on my homepage soon.
This is not leica, but it is fun!

...and look at the weight:
210g
- camera
- card
- battery
- reversed lens 50mm (EL-nikkor)
at the size of a cigarette box ;-)

xacti and 50mm reversed:

These are very nice! The NI was really effective and made lots of difference!

Just as they are: nice - and nothing special.

The sanyo has the same sensor type as the FZ5, there has to be some NR with uniform backgrounds. But this is betterthan some obscure engine kiling then. for me.
