I may purchase a FZ50 but would like to read more reviews first. Do anyone know whether FZ50 hasa cable release, either mechanical or IR. Is there one for FZ30?

Hello,

The FZ-30 did not have a remote shutter....very disappointing.

The FZ-20 did...my camera.

I'm glad the FZ-50 has one, judging from a previous answer to your post.

The FZ-30 is a much bigger camera than the FZ-20 too.

Thanks for post ing this question.

Sorry, it appears the FZ30 can handle a remote shutter after all. It just wasn't refered to on the Panasonic Australia website when it was first placed there last year and I assumed it so....never again!
