I asked if it were ok to take some aerial shots coming into Hawai'i since all electronic devices are to be turned off and/or stowed away when coming in for the landing.

I used my FZ1v2 and thought that despite being taken through the aircraft window these came out pretty decent.

This shot over Diamond Head shows how "Paradise" is vanishing before my very eyes. I am fortunate to have grown up there in a time before it has come to this and beyond. My usual haunts are either paved over, and has either housing or a building on it.

Very nice! I've flown around that island countless times in Flight Simulator 98, but this is the first time I've gotten the "real view."

Hi vIZnquest,

Thank you for posting these great aerial shots of Hawaii. Amazingly clear and sharp expecially since taken through a plane window. Beautiful job. I"m glad they let you do it.

HI Tom

Thansk for posting the aerial shots - always good to see the world from another perspective. I'm amazed how much of the land built upon as I'd always thought of Hawai as still pretty idilic.

Cheers

Tom,

Outstanding pics. Glad to see you're still using the FZ-1. Still gets the job done. I know I'll offend others here, but it's just my opinion that the newer models just don't buy that much over the original in terms of image quality or functionality for snap-shot sized pics, or Internet viewing.

Very nice...

Nick
