After a long summer, there has been much rain lately.

My bougainvillea looks much better in a "wet condition" as you can see here.

The mushroom season has started too, my son forced me to shoot the fungi he found on a long walk.

Thanks for looking!

All are absolutely stunning photos. I am hard pressed to pick a favorite, and am somewhat leaning toward the roadside fungi in the last few photos. Just me. I am from the swamplands.

thanks Donna and Jerry,

I did not find a favorite, so I posted some more thumbs.....

There were nice rain shots in this forum lately. I will try to practice with waterdrops a little bit more.

Hi Seemolf!

Stunning pictures!
I gave up for the lack of decent light.
You found some very moody motives that capture that Late Summer-early Autumn feeling very well!

Cheers,
RealMash

Hi Sven,

Beautiful series, well captured autumn pictures. I like the mushroom pictures a lot!The close-up pictures of the bougainvillea flower could of being a bit sharper.

What doyou do with the bougainvillea in winter time? Does it survive the freezing temperatures in winter outside??

thanks RealMash,

have a good journey and take care!
You can enjoy the Bougainvillea in warm conditions and at a place which has been visited by Mr. Bougainville!
(Fuerte ist doch nur 'ne Sandkiste für Surfer und Fähren sind für Touristen sehr teuer...)

Macnite,

there was not more DOF with the close shots (+8 diopters)! I focussed on the enclosed water drop.

The winter is too cold in the northern parts of Germany. The plant stays at a cold place inside the house from november to april. But there were no flowers in the last years. The fantastic summer helped this year.
