Very nice series, Harjtt.
I love seening photos of your country, places and people. BTW, the Dutch boat is nice, I also was wondering about the unusual looking boards on the side.

they are called leeboards, and there are 2, one on each side
they work like keels, to help the boat sail straight, and to keep it a bit more upright when under sail. Only the board on the 'lee' side [the side the wind is blowing too] of the boat is set down, so the boat can lean on it.

the advantage is that the boards can be hauled up [like the one you can see] when the water is shallow, so that the boat doesnt run aground.
