Lumix G9 with Leica 200 mm f/2.8 performs for birds in flight.

A photographer friend of mine who also reps Panasonic Camera went to Titusville, FL recently to participate in a bird and wildlife photoshoot. He had the pleasure of trying out a pre-production version of the Leica 200mm F2.8 coupled to a 2x teleconverter, which effectively makes it an 800mm focal length.

He's been posting photos on his Facebook page and I thought one of them in particular would be of interest to people here at Steve's.The image was of a Roseate flying nearly directly toward the camera.

G'day mate

Yes - beaut images and looking just like the best from those cameras traditionally used for BIF images

For those of us as 'everyday' snappers, I wonder whether I / we can afford the lens when it becomes available commercially

I'm afraid that I'll not be able to afford the Teleconverter never mind the lens.
