The Panasonic 20mm F1.7 thread

Only had the GH2 a few days and my 20mm was delivered yesterday.

I have never had a fast prime before.

Hand held, wide open with small light on over stove.

Not sure why the Exif says:

Focal Length In35mm Format 78 mm

Hitting the limit of the 4,000 max shutter speed on the GH2. Had to stop down to 2.0.

Sun has set, twilight only, wide open, 1600 iso, hand held, love the amount of light it brings in.

flaxseed - nice shots. This is the pancake lens? I've been looking for a used one for my GF1. I see you can get pretty close with it (#1 image), and sharp.

Yes, you can get about 8" according to Panny.

Another thing is it has a diagonal field of view of 57 degrees, very close to our 60 degrees when looking straight ahead.

Will not continuous auto focus for stills.

F2, ISO 160, sharpness in camera at 2. Works fine with 14-140mm but I think it may be too much with the 20mm, it's plenty sharp.

Blew the background to hide the chain link fence, plus was going for a sort of 'angelic' look.

20mm gathers lots of light in the shade.

Cropped, F2, Iso 200, in camera sharpness 2.

Focused on the eyes, shallow DOF makes for soft nose.
