Great photos! I still think that the GH1 is the best m4/3 camera out there (and better than the NEX also).

I hope GH2 will 100% better ... then it is the ultra-ultra-ultimate best camera

Do you think there will be a GH2? I think the G2 is the GH2 and the G10 is the G1 upgrade. Panasonic simply dropped the H. We'll see.

Panasonic will announce the new Panasonic GH2 and new lenses on September 21 (probably at 6am London time).

Yes, it's a great camera!!!!

I picked up a GH1 with 14-140mm lens about 2 weeks back, for the equivalent of $790 USD / 620 Euro.

Definitely (expected to be announced in a few weeks time).

The G2 was indeed the G1 replacement, and Panasonic chose to slot in a 'budget' G10 model. Didn't make sense to me at the time, but I think it's got a lot to do with competition in various markets.

The G2 gained video capabilities, but not full-fat 1080i/p as available on the GH1 - the GH2 will have that for sure, but I'm not holding my breath over other desirable features that could push the GH2 back to the top.....

My guess is we'll see a 'nice' upgrade, but nothing revolutionary - a new/updated engine with ISO6400 (possibly higher), maintained live-view during burst shooting and that touch-screen from the G2. I keep reading about a faster kit lens.... that would be great, but I think it's unlikely. Yes, I'd dearly love to be wrong on that, and see Panasonic come out with a 12-60 f2.8-4 HD OIS. I can dream, can't I?

On the video side of things, I doubt we'll see a GH2 with live monitoring via HDMI or audio input level control - these features will be reserved for their 'proper' camcorder - and I'm not convinced we'll see 35Mb/s 1080p HD recording either. Time will tell.

I'm preparing myself for a slightly disappointing announcement - although that's good, 'cos I can't afford an upgrade anyway!!

I too ... but if it's so, I save money and can buy the Panasonic GH1 3D lens

This was a NEW price in Japan!!!

It has since gone up to $875 USD / 690 Euro, but I expect it will go down again. It actually got lower after I bought it, but I wasn't willing to chance the jump in price!!! The lowest it got was $770 USD / 605 Euro

Well, perhaps this will be my change to upgrade my G1 to the GH1 (assuming the GH1 prices will come down further once the GH2 is out).
