I did some research on amazon and b&h photo. Looks like the panasonic models aren't a whole light lighter than my xsi. My xsi with the 17-85 lens, weighs about 2 lbs and 2 oz. The GH1,GH2, and G2 all seem to weigh about nearly 14 oz, with the lens (14-42) about 5.82oz and the (14-140) 16.23 oz. Whereas the Olympus EPL1 or EP2 weighs 12.13 oz, and pretty much same as above with the lens. Does this sound about right to you guys? I guess when you are toting it around that lesser weight does feel better. That is the whole reason for my looking, to find less weight.

look at the gf1 form panny, or the oly epl-1 which is really light also. Or if you wait a while the gf2 is going to be really smaller. It does look to be almost the size fof the lx5.

But if you want a zoom lens the oly kit lens does collapse down when not in uses. So the pen's are a bit more compact.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.
