Default Birds in my neighborhood - GF1

Not nearly as good as LTZ, but I'm trying...!!! With Oly 70-300mm. I used a tripod for the Black Phoebe (about 30 feet away).

#1 Curve-billed Thrasher (may be a California Thrasher, they look similar)

#2 Black Phoebe

#3 Black Phoebe

#4 Anna's Hummingbird. He's always in the same tree. Next time I'll use a tripod.

#5 Anna's

#6 Anna's - same bird, the color disappears when he looks away from the sun.

Excellent shots Saly...never seen that first bird before...thanks for sharing...

If I had been taking these same shots I wouldn't have gotten any better of a shot than you did Saly...these are good!...I am fortunate at times to get close enough to catch more details that's it...

Thank you both!

The thrasher is a crazy bird - it uses the long beak to turn over things on the ground looking for food. He literally "thrashes" around wildly in a pile of fallen leaves.

Those are great, super smashing, great shots. The little black phoebe is such a cutey and the humming bird is beautiful.
