Default New GF2 Owner, First Pics Low Light and Outdoor Shots

Hi,

I am a photo novice and recently purchased a brand new Panasonic GF2 body and quickly added the 14-45mm and 45-200mm lenses, and EVF.

I have taken my first shots under various conditions with the camera and would like to post them here.

Restaurant ISO 800

Very Low light indoors, don't remember ISO

Low light indoors at a friend's house.

I just noticed that since uploading these photos to PhotoBucket they are significantly less sharp. these images look much better on my computer even at the same resolution.

Is there a better alternative to PhotoBucket?

I look forward to taking additional photos soon!

Good shots...How much did the whole package cost, including the viewfinder?

Hi, I paid $400 for the new GF2 body from a Craigslist seller, the 14-45mm lens from another Craigslist seller was $220, $245 for the 45-200mm lens through Amazon Warehouse Deals and $131 for the EVF through Amazon Warehouse deals... Overall cost, $996.

I just noticed that while on my Apple monitors, the images appear relatively sharp while on a Dell or ViewSonic monitor, the images appear much more soft, so perhaps it wasn't PhotoBucket after all.

Those are some nice shots.

Flickr might be an option for ya.

Curious what settings you were using, the ones with the child and bird on the table for example.

New? I don't even have it

I was wondering if you were using standard, dynamic, if you changed the contrast, saturation, etc., they don't look like the typical accurate but flat Panny shots.

Did you use jpeg or raw?

Hi,

I shoot RAW and usually import and edit on the iPad using FilterStorm. Here are scaled down JPEGs of the two originals:

I didn't really make many changes though I should have sharpened the image with the baby a bit.
