Default Which camera would you suggest?

I am an FZ38 user looking to upgrade to a dslr. Had finally decided on Canon T3i or 60D, with kit lens, and a Tokina 80-400.

Now I see this new G3 and I ventured here on this forum and shots are majorly amazing!!

In fact, I see my hero LTZ470 here too and that is the best endorsement!

But I don't understand all these cameras, so being ignorant I'm here for some advise.

I want a camera and lenses for wildlife and landscapes and family indoor shots and a few night shots. I want a viewfinder too, I don't like LCD screens!

What do you experts suggest?

Sorry to be so long-winded, and thank you in advance for your insights!!

Baba,

I perused through your FlickR and you have wide and also tele shots...The GH2 has excellent HD Video as well as stills, but is not readily available and expensive when you do find it...the m43's system is a good system, but lacking in lens compared to other systems...the Wide Lens is Panny's 7-14 and $$$$...the 14-140 is a HD Lens for Video as well as stills but is OK...the 45-200 is a very good walk around lens but slightly long as it is equivalent to a Full Frame 90-400 (the 80-400 you were going to purchase with T3i which actually would make the 80-400 a 128-640 equivalent focal length)...the Panasonic 100-300 is equal to 200-600 on the GH2 or GH1 or G3...the GH2 is better in Low Light than the GH1 and it looks as if the G3 is even better than the GH2 albeit small for handling the 100-300 lens...THE key thing is that you also have ETC on the GH & G Series Panasonic's which you know as EZ Zoom on the FZ35...so you can reduce the Mp and go up to 1400mm with the GH2...with the G3 having a great improvement on IQ, I would be prone to wait and see when the GH3 will be announced as it will probably be the Cat's Meow of a camera...The investment will be considerable for sure...the lens are all expensive except for the 45-200...the LC55 Close Up lens works well on the 45-200 also...the TCON17 can also be added to the 100-300 for additional zoom...

Thanks LTZ. I looked up the price of GH2 on Amazon and it is EXPENSIVE for sure.

I need to do a comparison between GH2 and G3.
