Which one do you think takes the better macro - the GH2 or G3?

Both Clint, but the GH2 has better handling characteristics when adding the 100-300 and the Ring Flash Setup as in better grip, but they both have the same sensors, so basically the same IQ from what these ole eyes can see...
The G3 is a little gem...and the GH2 is just top of line...great cams...

From your photos, it looks like you have these stacked in this order:
Panasonic Lumix G 100-300mm F4-5.6 OIS Lens
Kiwifotos LA-67HX100T Lens Adapter (rear part only)
67-72mm Step Ring
Canon 500D 72mm Close Up Lens
Is this right?

Can you explain why you have the Kiwifotos adapter between the lens and the step ring.

Also, does the RF-11 Ring Flash attach via bayonet mount in place of the lens hood? If not, how?

Thanks.

Nice photos by the way!

The RF11 just fits snugly onto the 100-300, tight enough you do not worry with it coming off...
Since the RF11 doen't allow room to screw the 500D on, you have to install kiwi adapter to allow the 500D to be installed...a larger setup but works a charm...

SORRY for not getting back sooner...been traveling a lot!
