Default Lumix G3

Hi, I currently own a Pentax k7, and was thinking about going back to Lumix. I heard the G3 has much improved noise. Can you tell me more about this camera. What are it's stand out features?

Hello Tony, I'm not sure what sensor / engine is in the K7 but I had the Pentax Kr and I noticed an image quality drop when I went to the G3. however, overall there are enough good points with the G3 for me to enjoy it. I would certainly recommend you try out the G3, but depending upon your needs, don't get rid of your K7 until you know you are happy with the G3.

Not sure what the above posts refer to, but they don't appear helpful - I am basically just passing through after a long absence, I have only visited two threads today and the other was closed down by admin as it had got personal and abusive - is this type of posting now par for the course on this site?

Norm,
I'm not sure what the above nonsense is about but in my few months on the site i think it is the first time I have come across this sort of stuff.
Usually the responses seem to be helpful and supportive.

Cheers

There is a very detailed testing and review of the G3 here that I think prospective purchasers would find useful http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Pa..._Lumix_DMC_G3/

I agree; I'm interesting in this camera, and the first few uncalled for posts really degrade this thread.
