Default G X Vario PZ Problems?

Have the reported problems with the collapsable Panasonic G X Vario PZ 14-42mm been fixed or is it still a suspect lens? It would be used on an Olympus Micro Four Thirds and would significantly reduce the camera's footprint. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't follow that lens much other than see it mentioned now and then.

The last time I saw it discussed, users liked it fine and said it worked on both the Panasonic and Olympus bodies with no problems.

I rely more on the posts from the guys who have both the Panasonic and Olympus m4/3's.

There is a recent related thread at dpreview that might interest you.

Looks like the luck of the draw to get a good one. More good than bad, but I'll pass.
