Default Checking out the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 EX DN

The lenses came today the Sigma 19mm f/2.8 and 30mm f/2.8. Both lenses rattle a little when I shake it. I guess you give up a little quality in construction for the price. I tested out a few shots on closeup on the shrubs in my front yard to see if it works.

The first picture looks very sharp. The rattling sound is normal.

Not a bad deal for $100! The f/2.8 aperture works good indoors also. I can do a little more than the kit lens.

I totally agree. I paid $150 for mine back in December when they were on sale at Amazon. Obviously I paid too much. Next time I'll wait a bit longer before I buy.

I made a lot of bad buys myself, I know how it feels. I bought an electronic viewfinder for my Oly E-PL1 for $220 and I don't use that camera that much these days. Now I bought the G3. a much better camera, packaged with a kit lens for a mere $300. What I spent on the viewfinder can almost buy me another camera.

Yes, it can. I bought the VF2 for $250, so once again you are ahead of me

As you, I hardly use the EPL1. I like the IQ but AF is a bit too slow. So, I end up using the G3 most of the time. Even the G1 is faster than the EPL1.
