Default Few more with Meike tubes + GF1

These are all shot with 45-200mm. I want to use it with my 100-300mm (for longer telephoto) but I can't get close enough for macro, so I'm considering getting a second set of tubes to stack.

And the real beauty of the extension tube is, it only takes seconds to remove it if you need to shoot telephoto.

I am not usually a "bug" person but these are nice. I am not that familiar with using extension tubes but I do love my 100-300. The tubes you are currently using are not compatible with the 100-300? I also have a 4/3 70-300 but don't really use it anymore. I have gravitated away from Olympus and their 4/3 system, still have them just don't use it.

Saly,

Fantastic shots with the extender! Nice picture of the Hummingbird, the 100-300mm ids a good piece of optics!

Thank you both. Just to clarify, these shots were taken with the 45-200 with 26mm extension tube (except for the hummer, that was 45-200mm without the tubes). The tube works just fine with the 100-300mm but I don't get enough magnification, so I'm going to lengthen the tube. I just ordered another set of Meiki tubes which I'm going to stack with my other set I own already. By stacking them I can get anywhere from 10mm to 52mm worth of extension tube.

ehofmann - I used to use the Oly 70-300mm with an adapter also, but the AF was sooooooooooo slow that I couldn't take it any more and sold it on eBay for a good price. It helped pay for the Lumix 100-300mm.

Thanks for the information Saly. It has only taken me about seven years to finally join this forum. I read it faithfully, just have always been hesitant to participate. - erhard
