Default My first pano...

I wasn't planning on shooting a pano so I was unprepared, no tripod. I was at my friends this past Sunday to watch the World Cup. After the game we all headed out to get some air. While out I noticed the great view of the city and I thought this would be a great time to try making a pano. I held my camera as steady as I could and snapped 7 images. Metered and set my focus near the middle of the pano. BTW the weather wasn't great. It was mostly overcast and very hazy. I was ready to be disappointed when I got home. I was disappointed with the image quality but I was happy how well the images stitched in Elements 12. Next time I will be ready with my tripod and hope for better weather. Thanks for looking guys!

G'day Chris

Well mate - it may be your first pano but I reckon it's come out 'real well' ~ and the mono treatment suits the subject very nicely

I do lots of panos too - and I find the 'AE-Lock' button very useful here ... I meter for the centre of the image, press the AE-Lock button then sweep across the scene taking my images, while allowing the camera to focus for each image [from 8 to 16 images per pano]

Has Lumix mirrorless & superzoom cameras and loves their amazing capabilities
