Default Optio s question

Hello everyone
I just bought a Optio s and i really like it. However i have noticed that more offen than not the right side of the picture comes out alittle blury . Is there something wrong with it or do they all have this problem.

I have had my Optio S for about a year, so I suppose it is totally obsolete now...

However, refering to the above question, I also notice the fuzziness to the right side of the pictures, when the center is in perfect focus. This is obviously a characteristic of this lens, which has been critisized by many reviewers.

I have also noted that my Optio S, like all (?) point/shoot digitals, performs very poorly in low light, even with the night setting. And of course it will not auto-focus in low light.

However, it does well in daylight, and having it always with me has provided many great photo ops that I would otherwise have missed. I am wondering if anyone here has already upgraded to the new S4i from the original S. Would a 1MP upgrade and a slightly larger LED screen warrant a new purchase? I am doubting it. Or, are any of the other tiny digicams significantly superior?
