i've had2 versions of this lens. the tokina and the other a kiron or komine. i can't remember which ... both had the matching 75-205 2X TC. i found both versions gave excellent results with the kiron/komine being slightly better.. both of them were the K mount non-A version. here's a link to some out of the camera untouched full size images from the K/K version
http://www.texasbostons.com/vivitar/index.htm here's acoupleshots from the tokina but with PPing. |

I've the 75-210 Series 1 Vivitar Inn. Really nice lens made by Tokina. I love it and my 80-200mm Vivitar as well.. Great walk-about lenses. The Series 1 is a constant aperture lens that stays f/3.5 throughout the zoom range. The 80-200 doesn't but gives as sharp a photo as any lens I own. Got both for less than 20 bucks each plus shipping.

I'm not sure about the 75-205mm Vivitar, but I just picked up a Vivitar Series One 70-210mm f3.5 version 1 (Kiron) screwmount.
I Love it. Its big, heavy, built like a tank, and manual. Takes an amazing picture. I would highly recommend it. http://www.robertstech.com/vivitar.htm Fred |

They madethe series 1in K-mount as well as screw mount too. I've got a K-mount and am looking for a screw mount to go with it...I'll decide which to keep later.

I had the lens 25 years ago on my kr10. Was really good colour and contrast. Mine was the one with the push/pul focus zoom ring and was made by Kiron.
