Roger,

Is this the 50-500mm lens you've been shooting with? Found this on Ebay this evening.

Jay D

50-500mm EX Lens
This magnificent superzoom encompasses all popular focal lengths from the 50mm normal to 500mm ultra-telephoto; a 10:1 zoom ratio which provides tremendous versatility. The use of an apochromatic design, four elements of SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass & a seven group zoom system of multicoated optics enables this lens to provide a high level of performance as well as versatility. A rear focus system insures quick, convenient manual focus and a non-rotating front barrel. This lens also features a zoom lock mechanism to help eliminate creeping of the lens. The mount of the camera is pentax with a canon adapter (original). A magnesium tripod mount helps reduce the weight of this lens while maintaining the strength and rigidity necessary to support its girth.

Roger, thanks for that. Yep, hopefully we can get some input on the 50-500mm lens. As soon as I get used to this K10D, and get some more coins saved, I'd love to get one of those lenses. Sure does a fantastic job for you. Does about $950. sound right?
I'm starting out with a 18-55mm Pentax and a 70-300mm Tamron, so we'll see what I can do with those before going all out.
Keep those photo posts coming -------- Your shots impress me more each day. Thanks.

Roger,

Do you have a Zeiss Digiscope tied into your 50-500mm set up to get those beautiful shots? :?:
