Just wonder if any K100D or K10D owners have used the Pentax 75-300 FAJ with their camera?

I have heard it called the plastic fantastic, but I wonder whether this is a serious option against a Sigma or Tamron 70-300.Also are there any Vivitar PKAF zooms in this range out there?

Thanks : Ian Mc.

I had that before and it is soft after 200mm. At the extreme end you need ample light and over F8

This is probably at its best at F8. It has a very high magnification factor or 0.3. Not bad at all when you consider Pentax macro 100mmF4 has only 0.5

Tamron 70-300mm has better reputation and there are happy users in here I believe. But the range is just too good covering such large range of focal length. That is my caveat
