Hi mtngal,

I haven't used the lens yet, been too busy. But it looks a really good one. I wanted a decent wide angle, to be honest I wasn't after a fish eye but something to fit under the 18 - 55 that I already have. I looked closely at the Tamron 17-35 but it more or less fell it to the range of my 18-55, so that was the reason I went for the 10-20.

My only dissapointment so far is it looks like you cannot attach a filter with it being a fish eye. Not good, I like to attach filters to all my lenses.

It cost £320 so I need to get some use from it.. soon!

Regards

Poul

Hi Poul,

I have the same lens - Pentax 10 - 17. It is not as "fisheyed" as you would think. It is pretty rectlinear especially at the 17 end. One thing I found was that you need to get really close to your subject or it appears that it is really off in the distance. Here are some shots from early this year...

Hi interested_observer
Like you pics, particular the landscape ones. Here's one I took today, very overcast day though and the sky is washed out.

Just curious have you manged to obtaina filter for your lens?
