hopefully not. there was a tamron 300mm/2.8on ebay. it's got probs but with what i get with my problematic A*300mm f4, i thought i's give a try. i knew the problems and figured with my very new knowledge(very little)of how they come apart it thought i'd bid .won for around 140usd. hey if i can fix it i'l have a $800-3000 lens..
thing is i misread the shipping as $7 and i missed the actuall price of $70..

i sure hope it's in little better condition than stated.

Hmm, hope it's in decent condition...if it is, it'll be a very good performer. The Tamron
SP range is well known for its quality.

Good luck with it roy, keep us posted

I wish you luck with it - if you can get it fixed, you'll have an excellent lens. But that's a fairly hefty chunk for a possibility.

If you can fix whatever is wrong with it, you got a steal!
