I've finally decided to uprade my k100d to a k10d, since I can get the last one for 700$, and I can sell my k100d with kit lens and an old sigma 70-300 for 450 Euro, which is almost 700$.

I would end up with a k10d and the 50mm f 1.4, so my doubt at this point is if selling also the 50mm ( i can make almost what i paid for it ) and getting a tamron 28-75, sigma 18-50 f 2.8 or pentax 16-45.

Of the last three zooms which one has the better quality, not considering the max aperture? Is 2.8 enough for getting a nice bokeh for portraits?

At this point I'm tired of getting cheap glass, I want to have a good camera and a worthy lens.

Whatever you do, never sell a 50 mm 1.4!

it's the fa version and I love the lens, the best pictures I ever did where with this lens.

I'm just afraid that if I have a fast zoom, I will never bother to change lens....

Two full stops faster, the best bokeh this side of Zeiss, this is the one lens that is guaranteed to entice you away from zooms. Here we have a lens that gives images a special quality that no zoom can match (even I can see the difference).

I'm very glad I picked one up recently. ... Good price too :-), can't see why you'd want to part with it. ... Jack

Zooms are handy but a prime will deliver better photos time and again!

Had a 50 1.4 in my 35mm life-sold it before Pentax started with the digital SLR-must have had brain damage-now I have the DA 40 2.8-this one is never going anywhere-not much more $ than the 50-love the low profile and amazing sharpness. All metal body should last forever
