Beautiful afternoon today in Arkansas with some of the deepest blue skies I've seen in a long time. A helpful jet left some great contrails just before sunset. Great time to try out my new Sigma EX 28mm F1.8 DG Macro. No color adjustments...just crop and sharpen.

If your pics were taken last Saturday, I noticed the extremely vivid Kansas City contrails and sunset, but I was away from my camera. I would take it everywhere I go, but would risk my wife of 57 years chiding me, and I mostly leave it (the camera) at home. Could be that's why the number is 57. Sometimes I regret all the pictures not taken, but upon sober reflection four fine children and eight great grandchildren has to be worth someting too.

Seriously, I am now starting to take my gear along much more often. The wife was almost as excited as I was when, for under $35, including shipping, I opened a package from a win on Ebay, and got two beautiful lenses, a functional SLR, a great camera bag, and a flash. I explained what each lens would do, and, even though I wassort ofduplicating my present lenses, my wife understood and approved. Again, the number "57" comes up.
