Thanks for posting the Pentax A 35-105 shots - in return I'll post a similar thing for my Vivitar 70-210/2.8-4 lense, maybe it's of someinterest to you (and others).

The 210mm shot is a f=4 although the camera shows a 2.8 and meters that way, you can see, that the image is darker than the others. That's the only problem I found with the lens. All images are 100% crops developed with the Pentax RAW converter without any sharpening (sharpening slider at leftmost position), so don't get fooled by the smooth look

70mm comes first



And the 210mm



The lens start to get sharp above f=4 (70mm) and around f=5 (210mm) - still I consider the "wide open" shots usable in most cases.
