has any one had their *istD produce blue/green colour casts on their images and had to knock the contrast control on the camera to the lowest setting to avoid BLACK BLACK shadows?

I think mine has a problem and needs to be looked at??

cheers

Hi hamtaro,

The first thing I'd do is set everything back to defaults. there should be a menu choice to do that. If that doesn't do anything, I'd also try leaving the batteries out for a couple of days, then try it again with freshly charged batteries.

I obviously have no idea what might have happened, but I'd at least try these before sending it in. . .kinda like rebooting a computer -- sometimes "cures" those anomalous glitches.

have been using AWB. Done a couple of manual white balances and it turns the exposures a brown colour!! so something is definately up there. In fact any of the default settings produce various different colour casts.

Have sorted out the exposure problem sort of, it randomly thinks the lenses are wide open giving hence using fast shutter speeds which has the effect of underexposing the images.

will try the batteries out re boot thing.

cheers
