that's a fair price.. with an EX rating it'll probably be like new. my only beef with it is it's only f5.6 but f4 cost a MINT!! and a half
hope you enjoy it.. when i want 400mm i put a 1.4TC on the tamron and end up with a 420mm, f4.. no IQ loss.

I thought the TC would change the barrel length enough to equate to a 5.6 or so Roy!

ed, it does.. i lose a stop from f2.8.. start out at 300/2.8 x 1.4 = 420/4
or2x = 600/5.6

Still fast! Looking for a 300mm f/2.8 but they are through the roof! Even 300mm f/4's are too high!
