Hi Gumnut, I am thinking about the light meter (and sunny 16) but I am not really clear regarding focus trap.

If I recall correctly the only way I could get focus trap to trigger was to set to mode to Av (aperture priority I presume?) and to connect that recessed pin to the camera with metal foil or whatever. Just as soon as I get the time I will try it with shutter priority.

John, I have had focus trap work in both AV, and full manual, to be honest I rarely use anything else. At the moment I seem to have misplaced my M42 adaptors, else I might experiment further. ... Jack.
