nice shots. hope you enjoy the lens.
doves?? i've found them to be about the worse photographic subjet around. i keep trying but ............... i've just never taken a shot of one when it jumps out and says LOOK at me..
this doesn't mean these are bad shots..

Another Dove with my Tamron70-300mm Di. I like this lens, it suited my budget andphotographicabilityquite well. I don't have muchof either.


Falcor, the cat is sharp and great lighting.


And Roy you are correct.Dovesdon't makeveryinteresting subjects.

they're a good looking bird but just dull.. a mockingbird looks better and that says a lot

I agree withyou allmy Dove shot is kind of boring. I was really just testing out my lens and saw them by the birdfeeder so took the shot.Anyways thanks for the comments all!

I've got one of these onthe way. Should be here tomorrow along with a Sigma 17-70mm and FA50/1/4. It's gonna be like Christmas all over again!

I love my copy of the lens....it does not have the PF some seem to have and is sharp at 300mm. Enjoy your new lens and you may consider adding the tammy 1.4 x tc which will make it 420mm at the long end. My results have been very good using the tc though focus will hunt a lil bit but nothing bad.
