I have done it again! Sometimes I buy something online then see another of that item being offered at a later date. The latest example is a Sigma f500 f4 'Ultratelephoto' mirror lens, a monster lens.

I got one some time ago and told the story at

http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=94 That one had a few problems but I got them solved and it is a fun lens to use.

Now a second one has been offered and as is my weakness I fretted that it might go for a pittance which would make me sad so I put in a token bid myself, just to make me feel good you understand?

I won the second auction so when it arrives I will have two of these beasties.

The first one cost me approximately US$140 at which I was well pleased and this second one about US$41:G, and it looks like these second one might have the matching teleconverter mounted on it.

The T adapter for Pentaxis going to cost me more than the lens did!

Your right - I used one of the on line currency converters - the result looked too low - I should have used a second site. But it's still out of range - even at the wrong price - however, I can still kick in the 65 cents...

Very interesting. I went back and checked your first thread. Do you have any further pics to share since your first attempt with the cat handheld? Also, does the t-mount adapter get the lens out far enough to clear the prism on the modern digital cameras?
