Hi Guys

yep about 3 weeks on and its started already...

my first lens aquisition is an Auto Chinon 50mm f1.7 bought for a bargain $35AUD

it was a bit dusty inside with no mould at all, so i stripped it cleaned it and put it back together again... its clean as a whistle now!

i now havent stopped looking for kit and lens now.. also bought an AF240z flash last night so will see how that fares! that cost a whole $25aud delivered from the UK to Australia!

It doesn't take long, does it? Looks pretty good - the DOF at 1.7 is tiny, isn't it?

The Chinon 1.7 is considered a very good little lens. Here are some photos taken with one.

I had one and it was on par with my Pentax F 50 mm 1.7.

I had quite a collection of Chinons mainly from my film days, including the 50/1.7, and have always thought them pretty good, and I agree with Kjell there's not much

to choose between it and the Pentax 50/1.7. I have parted with mine as I seem to have acquired several 50mm lenses. ... results of LBA maybe ???. ... Jack
