Default AF adjustment test chart

I found this on the net and it fixed my Sigma 70-300mm.
I thought I was just getting hopeless at focusing as all my long shots were blurry. Since using the chart I'm back to taking decent long shots again, this shot from a power pole down the street is heavily cropped.

major help
i personally never thought i had or suffered from either front or back focusing
this is about the second type of chart that i have downloaded and tried, and both types of charts more or less confifmed that i have a back focusing problem.
the 16-50 lens shows a +6 adjustment needed
the 50-135 lens shows a +8 adjustment needed
am i missing something
i also noticed way different readings if lens to test chart distance changes
i also noticed way different readings if focal lengths changes on the same lens
