Very nicely done! I'm sure you will be happier with the version II lens if/when you decide to upgrade your camera. That's the nice thing about dSLR cameras - get good lenses and they will last you for a long time.

I like the looks of that camera bag - it's going to be one you'll continue to use even when you outgrow it. I still use a smaller bag when I want to go light and only take one or two lenses. I'll be interested to see some pictures.

Thanks! I like the case, too. It has room for my camera with the lens and lens hood attached, and two extra lenses. It has several compartments, each designed for different things, and plenty of padding. As far as the pics go, I just downloaded them to my hard drive. I'll be posting some after I edit/pp them.

I had a nice experience with Abe's, and they don't have a bad reputation on Reseller Ratings... they score a 7.95/10 for the last 6 months and a 7.33/10 lifetime rating. Whatever was going on before seems not to be happening now. Yeah, the bag was a nice find!

that's a good thing to know. abe's and tristate use to only be known for faking reviews and their seller actions were horrible.. bad enough that resellers quit accepting ratings about them.. maybe they've seen the light..
