Default Maybe I'm nuts...

Everyone knows I have LBA. (Lens Buyer's Addiction) But really I've lately been concentrating on a few different series of lens as a collection. I've heard it posted that I have anywhere from 60 to a gazillion lenses. Neither is true but the 60 is closer. I really only need a few of them and when on a walk-about I usually only take my Bigma and the Kit lens. These two by themselves give me a range from 18mm-500mm and some macro capability as well. The lens I've been collecting are mainly Vintage lens and mostly manual focus. I've had several of the folks here and on other forums I post on tell me to get better and more modern lenses. The Sigma 50-500 "Bigma" and the DA 18-55mm Kit lens are quite modern and very good quality , if not quite professional quality. But I do listen to folks and here is my decision....I'm going to save my money and get either one of these lenses or both.

Not a better lens out there to my mind and the first one only costs abiout $4,000.00 used and the second about $5,500.00-$7,000.00 used if you can find them. I will have to save up to get these and that has already begun. So my lens buying is over for a while till I get one or both of these.

Donations accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Oh yes!! I am serious.....but does this make me crazy?

Till recently, maybe still, they were/are made by order. "If you have to ask about the price, you can't afford it".

Good luck, bigdawg!

Thanks Kjell. I'm also looking at the 600mm f/5.6 645 lens but it is a manual focus. Really would like an auto focus for the birds.

That one also exists in a "normal" K-mount. I'm quite sure about that, because I've got it.
