Default Pentax 50 mm F2.8

Christmas 2009 I received a Pentax D-FA 50mm F2.8 Macro. I've taken a few pictures with it, on both my K10D and KM (K2000).

Great lens..remarkably clear closeups. Took a few of my watch against weathered wood...impressed myself.

Also works well as a portrait lens.

The lens hood is quite unique...large and attaches about 1/3 the way down the lens.

I'm happy with it, think I will get a lot of use out of it, over the years.

From all reports that is a very good lens Les. Glad it's working for you.

Thanks, Big Dawg. I used it a fair amount yesterday. I had it on my KM...early morning breakfast at a 60 year old's birthday...took some portraits...then to a a snowbound forested area in the PM...worked out well....at F 2.8 good with available light...everything from fun shots to nature shots.

Glad to hear you like it as it is on my short list for a macro lens. Looking forward to seeing some photos taken with it. Regards
