The free shipping could be the deal clincher.

I didn't know Pentax ever made a 1200 - I knew about the 1000 as I've seen it occasionally. Whoever gets it will need a sturdier tripod...

The really nice thing is that it comes with a case! Use the lens on one side and the case on the other, and we have a pair of jack stands for pickups.
Ah, well, I already have a walk-around lens.

If you could track a shuttle launch with this baby that would explain why the price is sky high!
(sorry - couldn't resist)

Default Serious problem...

My problem with this isn't that I know I can't afford it, my problem is I can't stop thinking of where to get the money...

I'm going for it; even trade for my 2009 Toyota Corrolla (sticking gas peddle, faulty breaks, and lose power steering).

Jim - that would be an excellent trade - I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had a Corolla. However, I wouldn't be willing to trade the 5 year old Jeep Wrangler with 130,000 miles on it. Amazing to think of a camera lens in terms of a car - they are asking 4 times the price of the first new car I ever bought!
