Hi IO,

Links like that are dangerous and should have a disclaimer. "The photo examples here may be dangerous to your bank account. . ."

Just goes to show that talented photographers can get great results from just about any lens in the catalog, and this can lead to some pretty mean attacks of LBA. . . that's a pretty extensive list of lenses. . .

Detractors of the DA 50-200 need to take a look at that series. I need to use mine more often.

Yes, there are some lovely photos in the DA50-200 collection. I DO notice, though, that the majority of them are with the lens at the long end of the zoom range (many, in fact, at 200mm). And that maybe the least impressive, IQ-wise, are the few taken at the short end (one at 50mm in particular).

This seems to tie in with my experience of the lens, which I find is very decent at the long end (right up to 200mm!), but very ordinary at 50mm.

I WILL use mine more often (it's no hardship, given its compactness), but maybe I'll restrict it to the 100-200 range.

That site is a good find, some excellent shots.

I like this site below, you need to scroll far down the list to find the lenses though ... Jack.

I like the shot with the 50mm and the cats eye.

Is there a way to view the images at larger sizes? While they look nice this size whether a lens is decent or great really only shows up full size.

There are 4 icons on the lower right of each photo when you put your cursor on it - click on the magnifying glass icon for a full screen view.
