Default Up in the Air

My attempt at shooting pictures through a jet's window:

It was early evening, a perfect time to be taking pictures.

Looking down:

It was fun to try to this. Shooting through the jet's double pane glass isn't easy, and the glass is often scratched or distorted in some way. But the light was too nice to try not to capture.

I have shot the rockies and sierras...they are incredible. I did try to capture a tornado but it didn't come out to good.

Wow, the 1st and last 'over the wings' shots are terrific as is the mountains shot.

Thank you both! The two over the wing shots that Rodney likes were taken with the 02 lens, the mountains, clouds and the other wing shot were taken with the 06 lens. I didn't think of taking a picture of the plane's interior with the fisheye - I will have to correct that on the next flight. It might be an interesting shot.

Thanks! I had fun shooting at dusk. I kept wanting them to hurry and load the luggage, I was afraid that the beautiful light would be gone before we took off. Luckily, it was still nice and I was able to get some pictures that I liked. I didn't do as well flying home, the light wasn't as good, there were more clouds and my seat assignment wasn't as good. I was on a Westjet 737 going up and on an Air Canada Dash 8 (prop jet) coming back. I did have an interesting time trying to "stop" the propeller, but otherwise it wasn't great for picture-taking.
