Hello all,
I like you to meet Anne Abbott. I had the privilege to photograph an amazing person and artist living with cerebral palsy. As a part of my occupational therapy training; I was at her residence to document her on how she used high tech and low tech technology to communicate with others as she is unable to verbalize. I was also able to photograph her while doing her work. She has limited control of her limbs and uses her index finger to paint. Her artwork is incredible and I left feeling very inspired. These are some of the shots that I captured. Thanh ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the rest of the shots are located here: http://tdotho.smugmug.com/gallery/43...eXmZ#256440348 |

I checked your gallery to see the whole series, and recommend everyone to do the same. A very fine piece of work (yours) about an amazing person (her). Photo journalism at it's best.

WOW! All I can say is that I was quite moved and got goosebumps when viewing your photos of this amazingly talented woman and some of her work.
I loved your photos, particularly the black and white ones. I think you captured the essence and vibrancy (I can't think of better words right now) of this gifted woman. Thanks for sharing. |

Very cool way to use your camera to do more than capture pretty images. Thanks for sharing these.

Thank you all for the positive feedback,
One more thing about Anne, is that she sells her art work at the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto every saturday in the basement portion. Her work is really impressive regardless of her physical limitations. If anyone is in the Toronto area, downtown on a saturday, stop by and say hello, she will truly amaze you. Thanh |

Wonderful series (I checked out the gallery, too). It's amazing how she can paint at all, and to do it so beautifully, too. Very inspiring.

Thanks for sharing about this remarkable woman and your capturing her in her element.
Wonderful shots. This is definitely on my list to stop by and see when I make my trip to Toronto via upstate New York. Mahalo, Tom |

Thanh, your photos are amazing. And, she seems to be an amazing woman who has done something with what she has rather than just wither away. Fantastic!
