Dave - that peeling paint is wonderful, and I like the sampler, too. All the colors match, the patterns look good together, looks lovely. Definitely would not be found in my house, unless someone else arranged it.

Here is my entry for this month. A small community I have been photographing over the last few years. Life on the stump so to speak (at the end of the dead end street in front of the house).
Fits my eclectic style. Old end grain wood, pealing paint, barbed wire, moss, fungus, blackberry's and flat boring NW light. Taken as a potential image for Global Pentax Day - just did not make the cut. Camera and exposure info in the EXIF. Enjoy - PDL image deleted 2008-05-04 |

Trojansoc, I really like that shot. Reminds me of a horror move, the girl alone in a phone booth on a stormy night, looking out as the headlights approach...

I like this one better, Ed. What is this tree? There's one in the botanical gardens that I've tried to take pictures of occasionally, but have had a hard time of it. It seems like the yellow ends will blow out quickly or else the dark green of the rest of the tree will be way too dark. I like what you did with this one.

I'm not sure what this is exactly.
It is some type of Juniper and it is not a tree but rather a bush. |

Leaf scars on thestem of a 350,000,000 year-old Lepidodendron fossil (a Coal Age tree-like plant that grew to over 100 feet in height). *ist D with the kit lens, photographed in a light tent.
