Default Arizona Natives

These two Arizona natives were behind glass at Usery Regional Park, where Iím camped until Thursday. One is harmless and one is not.

This harmless one is a King Snake (think thatís what the card said). I thought it was sort-of cute framing, even though it doesnít show much of the snake. Am I wrong on this?

This one is definitely dangerous: a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. You can see the rattles on the tail.

I didnít take a long lens with me - they have lots of bird feeders outside the nature center and lots of birds were hanging out. Maybe a different day. Or I can always get my long lens out, sit on my front patio and try to capture on sensor the birds that are making all that sound right now...

I agree - I love the second photo as a good photo, but thought the first one was cute because of the framing. Itís not quite as sharp or the glass might have been slightly marred or something. Who knows why a photo doesnít come out, thereís tons of reasons!
